Got these at Target yesterday. Correct me if I'm wrong but i always remembered only finding cars in 3 categories when i was a kid: 1. The newest sports car
2. A classic muscle car
3. Some weird made up shit
And maybe a truck or suv here or there
Oh..and what they are clockwise starting in top left
'70 Toyota Celica, '92 BMW M3, '67 Ford Mustang, '69 Corvette, Toyota 2000GT, and a Toyota AE-86 Corolla
Also anyone know what the Hot Wheels Cool Classics collection is, I found that '67 Mustang amongst the regular Hot Wheels and could not find another one like it

I can almost never find a real car based hot wheel at our local walmart. All that's ever left is made up shit. I want my son to be able to play with real cars and recognize them when he sees them in real life. As of right now everything is a porsche. He saw a miata last night and said "look dad a porsche". I cried a little inside.....

The Cool Classics line was released to celebrate Hot Wheels 45th anniversary, in 2013. According to Mattel, the 45th is not that big a deal to ensure a full on celebration, like the 40th was in 2008, and how the 50th will be in 2018, so they're kinda saving up to the big 50th.

Right now I have a Datsun 620, a lowered Mercury Cougar dirt track racer, that Celica racer, a Honda Civic EF, and a Greenwood Corvette that took forever to find, all sitting in a bag on my dining room table. We are truly living in an age of wonders.

Here they charge as much for individual Maistos as Cool Classics Hot Wheels. 23 ringgit for a car with less detail, no rubber tires and no special paint (bear in mind that I'm seriously considering that someone in the supply chain is profiteering)? Nope.jpg

They did make the World Race cars for the 35th anniversary, though. I wonder who plans these things out...
